Yesterday, Pink announced the birth of her second child with husband Carey Hart on Instagram, sharing a heartwarming photo of herself holding her newborn. She shared the baby’s name in the caption: Jameson Moon Hart. He was born on December 26, 2016, right in time for Hanukkah.
While Pink kept her second pregnancy under wraps for a long time–having only announced it in November–she and Carey had been thinking about naming a child Jameson for a while now, telling Access Hollywood in 2010:
“My dad’s name is James, and my brother’s name is Jason. [Carey and I] are both Irish, Carey’s middle name is Jason, and Jameson — we like whiskey. That’s a no brainer.”
The couple are also parents to their 5-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart, who is now a big sister. I personally love the middle names they chose for both their kids–Sage and Moon. Perhaps it’s the poet in me that loves the creative and nature-inspired names.
